Westover's FVW
series bench top fiber microscopes uses coaxial illumination with a
blue 100,000 hour LED to illuminate the fiber face. Blue light has
the shortest wave length, and packs more of a punch. This allows for
better clarity of flaws, pits, scratches or debris on the face of
the fiber. Unit comes with an external power supply, BNC to BNC
cable, black & White monitor, manual and FMA-U25 universal adapter.
Spring loaded focusing mechanism on front of unit allows for end
user to easily focus onto face of fiber. Build in Black & White CCD
camera allows for the highest level of protection from laser light.
IT IS NEVER RECOMMENDED TO VIEW LIVE FIBER IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCE.
FV unit has a built in BNC out connector, which can be connected to
most types of monitors.
