Westover's FVDW
series bench top fiber microscopes uses coaxial illumination with a
blue 100,000 hour LED to illuminate the fiber face. Blue light has
the shortest wave length, and packs more of a punch. This allows for
better clarity of flaws, pits, scratches or debris on the face of
the fiber. Unit comes with an dual magnification, 9" inch black &
white monitor, manual and FMA-U25 universal adapter. Switch between
focusing mechanisms allows user to flip back and forth between
magnifications easily. Spring loaded focusing
mechanism on front of unit focuses onto
face of fiber. Build in Black & White CCD camera allows for the
highest level of protection from laser light.
IT IS NEVER RECOMMENDED TO VIEW LIVE FIBER IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCE.
