Westover's FV
series bench top fiber microscopes uses coaxial illumination with a
blue 100,000 hour LED to illuminate the fiber face. Blue light has
the shortest wave length, and packs more of a punch. This allows for
better clarity of flaws, pits, scratches or debris on the face of
the fiber. Unit comes with an external power supply, BNC to BNC
cable, manual and FMA-U25 universal adapter. Spring loaded focusing
mechanism on front of unit allows for end user to easily focus onto
face of fiber. Build in Black & White CCD camera allows for the
highest level of protection from laser light.
IT IS NEVER RECOMMENDED TO VIEW LIVE FIBER IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCE.
FV unit has a built in
BNC out connector, which can be connected to most types of monitors
(MONITOR NOT INCLUDED).
